New Painting Alert!

Can you believe it? I actually sat down and painted the other day. And it felt like…home. Like, I was coming back to myself. It was as if I haven’t been away for as long as I have been (I don’t even want to know how long it’s been— it will make me really sad…)

So why don’t I paint more, you ask. Instead, I find 1,546,837 other things to do. I do the re-selling because it generates a few extra dollars, and I (obviously) deem that more important than painting for fun. I want everything I do paint to be AMAZING, so I can sell it (and make extra monies) but I’m worried that it won’t be, so I don’t pick up the brush because I just can’t do something for fun. Boy, there is a lot to unpack there…

But painting feels so so so so good. I love the mind space I have when I do paint and I get into it. The problem solving. The curiosity and the experimentations. So good.

Do you have a thing that you LOVE to do, but you constantly put it off? I’d love to know- drop it in the comment section below. Have you finally started prioritizing that one thing? What’s your secret? I want to know!
