NEW 2017 Photo Calendars and DIY Calendar Templates.

Happy New Year! I hope 2017 is treating you well so far. Is one of your resolutions to organize and clean out your home and make your space a little more relaxed and cozy? Toss/donate all the stuff that doesn't make you happy or serve a purpose anymore?  Maybe redo your office space at work? (yeah, me too!)

If you're looking for a new 2017 calendar that is pretty, inspirational, and functional, check out my new 2017 5x7 desk calendars. I love these calendars! They are small enough to be unobtrusive on your desk (ugh, who wants that big old ugly blotter calendar?) You can display these calendars in a 5x7 frame, on your desk at work, hang on your refrigerator, pin to your inspiration board, use as a bookmark, or hang from a clipboard or mini clothespins-- the possibilities are really endless! And, here's the best part-- after the month is over, you can trim off the calendar portion and you have a 5x5 print ready to frame and display. This is a fabulous and inexpensive way to get 12 5x5 prints to decorate your walls or shelves.

2017 Photo Desk Calendar- Succulents

This 2017 calendar features 12 of my most favorite succulent and cacti photos from various botanic gardens including the Chicago Botanic Garden, The Mitchell Domes in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and The Zilker Botanical Garden in Austin, Texas.

These photos of waterlilies were taken at various garden locations including the Chicago Botanic Garden (of course!), Maui, Hawaii and Zilker Botanical Garden in Austin Texas.

If you like to DIY your own calendars, I have 2017 calendar templates available too, in several different styles. The downloadable calendar templates are perfect for anyone who wants to design a desk calendar with their own photos. The templates are designed to make it super easy to add your photos and print, either at home or your local photo lab. Perfect DIY gifts for grandparents and photographers (think client gifts or special add ons.)

*You will receive 15 customizable .PSD files. There will be one PSD file for each month plus three additional cover styles.
*Each file is 5x7 inches and 300 dpi so you can print it out and it will look amazing!
*Text has been rasterized so you can customize the font color. The background color can also be changed to suit your needs.
*This template is compatible with Photoshop and PS Elements.

My Favorite Friday Finds- Peony

Happy Friday, friends!! I hope you had a great week. I've been stalking the Garden for a few weeks now and I'm officially on Peony Watch. Last week they had big round peony heads that were days away from bursting open. I'm going back this weekend to see if they are finally open!

In the meantime, I found some fantastic handmade peonies on etsy! I just love the watercolor painting (#2) and the peony photograph (#4) and if I wore jewelry, I'd totally be sporting that peony ring!

My Favorite Things- Handmade Soaps from Wood Folk Soap

Little known fact about me: I love handmade soaps. I mean, I looooooooooooooove them.  To say that I'm a little bit addicted is an understatement. I buy them from etsy all. the. time. They are the number one type of item I purchase (all you handmade soap makers out there, I'm looking for you!)

The other day I was searching for soaps (um, I mean, working...yeah, working...) and I happened upon this shop, Wood Folk Soaps. What drew me to click on their shop was their photography & packaging. I'm not going to lie-- You could have the best soap on the planet, but if your photos look like crap, I'm not going to click on your shop. I know that's pretty harsh, but I can't help it. I'm a girl who loves pretty photography (of course!) and packaging!!! I loved Wood Folk's simple photos that highlighted their soaps, and I love the simple font/design of their wrappers. They also had interesting scents (Earl Grey!) and natural ingredients-- all of which are super important to me as well. I purchased three soaps-- Ginger & Sugar, Green Tea & Flax, and Earl Grey & Almond.

I got them in the mail yesterday-- first of all-- whoa! Super quick shipping! They arrived within a week! Secondly, their packaging was so cute! I LOVE the handwritten note that they included! (it's the little things, friends!)

yay! my soaps arrived! happy mail day to me!

yay! my soaps arrived! happy mail day to me!

I'm a sucker for pretty packaging!

I'm a sucker for pretty packaging!

I can't wait to try these out!

I can't wait to try these out!

You guys, these soaps smell soooooooo good! Not a heavy fake perfumy smell at all. These were nice and light and natural. I ran upstairs with the Ginger & Sugar soap (after I photographed the soaps, of course) and washed my hands right away! What a great feeling soap! I'm soooo glad I got these and I can't wait to try each of them!

Do you have a favorite handmade soap seller? Let me know! Let me know! Leave a link and shout out in the comments section. I'm always on the look out for a new handmade soap shop to try!
